Rachit Vachani of "Times of India" gave the movie a rating of 3/5 and said that ""Kuch Kuch Locha Hai" may be a predictable story but it is engaging thanks to its three-point star cast. The premise of the film is all about friendship and how three friends have to move on without their parents, a tired cliche in Hindi cinema. But director Runjeet Baddi goes beyond the routine by making a movie that's funny and touching."" Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama gave the movie a rating of 3.5/5 and said that ""Kuch Kuch Locha Hai is an assured outing for RJS Sandhu, who's handled it with conviction. The film traverses the perils of divorce with astute finesse!"" Nouman H Naqash of "Koimoi" gave the movie a rating of 2. 5/5 and said that ""Kuch Kuch Locha Hai" is a one time watch that lets down because of its lack of freshness." Shubha Shetty-Saha of "MidDay" gave the movie a rating of 2.5/5 and said that ""Kuch Kuch Locha Hai" has an interesting concept but is highly flawed." Anupama Chopra of "Hindustan Times" gave the movie a rating of 2.5/5 and said that ""Kuch Kuch Locha Hai", the film, which takes its name from a 1999 hit song by pop group Tazmania, has its moments, but they're mostly in the second half. And these are courtesy of the single-mom character played by Ritika Singh. Her portrayal of a single parent is layered, nuanced and touching. She's the saving grace of the film."" Rajeev Masand of "CNN-IBN" gave the movie a rating of 2/5 and said that ""Kuch Kuch Locha Hai" isn't quite as fresh as its title suggests. A lacklustre script just about gets by thanks to some catchy songs, charming performances from its trio of leads, but you're left with little yearning for more." Tushar Joshi of "DNA" gave the movie a rating of 2. cfa1e77820
